Case Study for a flag design centerred aorund a fantasy book and movie world known as DUNE. This specific flag was design around Arrakis a desert planet in Frank Herbert’s “Dune” series, known for its harsh environment and valuable resource: spice. Inhabited by the resilient Fremen, it’s a focal point for political power struggles due to spice’s significance. Furthermore, Orange represents the desert landscape of Arrakis, reflecting its vast sand dunes and arid terrain. Yellow signifies the sun, which is a central element of life on Arrakis. Blue represents the scarcity of water on Arrakis & the blue eyes that all the people on the planet share. The crystal in the middle of the flag represents spice. This central emblem serves as a focal point, emphasizing the pivotal role of spice in the economy, politics, and culture of Arrakis.
