BookaBeauty is an app that allows users to connect with licensed beauticians efficiently and book appointments for beauty services such as hair, nails, makeup, tattoos, etc. As a student with limited resources, finding a beautician is not easy and most salon websites are more focused on pricing and services. Generally, to book an appointment it involves searching up the business to see what they have on social media, their google reviews, and using several other platforms to then call the place to book an appointment. Booking services do exist, but most of them lack the functions to filter out certain service request within the search engines such as finding a hairstylist with experience working on clients with alopecia. These sites also include limited amenities within stylist's profiles and don't portray whether these services are licensed. Their apps are also not user-friendly and are difficult for new users to navigate. Language barriers also limit people's options to certain beauticians and their work, despite being willing to receive these services.

CONTEXT
Objective/Goal:
To create an app that serves as both a social and booking app, thus will be focused on showcasing beauticians' portfolios by their specialties. A feed will serve as the home page where users can explore beautician's work and filter out specific requests or certifications. Booking services will be provided in the app through the ability to make deposits for appointments, messaging the beauticians, and the addition of reviews/ratings. Additionally, a translation options which could allow you to book an appointment with someone who speaks a different language.
Problem: Design a better way to find and book beautician appointments in an engaging way while also overcome language and health barriers. Target Audience: Users in need of finding and booking appointments for different types of beauty services all within one user-friendly app.
